Q: What was the reason for using the band name "Avarice"?

A: When the band started we had a political agend. The definition of Avarice is extreme greed of mankind. The name just kind of stuck with us.

Q: How many shows have you played, and which one has been your favorite thus far?

A: We have yet to play any shows. We have been focusing on writing/releasing the best possible music before we do so. 

Q: "Venom Splitter" is your first single and an awesome track. What made you decide to take "Venom Splitter" as the first single? What do you think that is special about the song? 

A: Venom Splitter was one of favorite songs. We felt it was the best representation of what Avarice is all about. Venom spitter has a lot of energy. It's very heavy both musically and lyrically. It doesn't give the listener anytime to catch their breath. 

Q: What lyrical theme do you use in your music? What message do you want to send?

A: The lyrics stem from real life experiences and relationships I've had with people over the years. I write the most memorable lines  I possibly can. I'd like for people to be able to relate and take something from the lyrics and the music the band write. Find a sense of positivity out of the negativity.

Q: When can fans expect a first EP/Album ? 

A: The release is still up in the air. We are shooting for a late summer release maybe.

Q: What artists have influenced your band and its' music?

A: We all listen to and come from  different styles of music but come together when it comes to metal. We definitely like whats currently going on in heavy music. 

Legend, emmure, issues, thy art is murder are a few of our  influences. 

Q: What is the main source of inspiration when writing new music?

A: We find inspiration in the things that anger us in life. You could say this band is our outlet. Writing music we want to hear is another reason for the band. Theres so much of the same thing out there, all we can hope is that we might be a breath of fresh air to some people. 

Q: What are your plans for this year exactly?

A: We plan on releasing this ep and playing/touring as much as possible! We'd like to reach as much people as we can with our music.

A: I would like to say big thanks to Hayden Tree! He has helped us out a lot. Check out his band called "Crown the Empire"!

Q: What was the reason for using the band name "Out for Blood"?

A: Our bass player was wearing a hat that said out for blood and out singer Hodari thought it would be a good idea for a band name. And it's stuck every since.

Q: How many shows have you played, and which one has been your favorite thus far?

A: 50+ as far as we know lol. Some of the more memorable ones includes our last show with original guitarist Rob back in 2011 at the submission venue. It was a huge crowd for us and great energy all around. Some of the footage is posted on youtube. Our set was a lot of our old material. For a more recent show Oceans of Blood 2012 was a great time as well. We played a short set but the feed back from the crowd was great. Not too mention being able to watch about 10 quality perform at a bar and grill all day doesn't hurt either.

Q: What lyrical theme do you guys use in your music? What message do you want to send?

A: A lot of our songs are based upon a lot of different subjects. We don't believe there is on particular lyrical theme to all of our songs. We have songs that range from murder to songs about star wars lol. So we like to cover all aspects.

Q: What song do you enjoy playing the most live?

A: For me Black Atom, Self inflicted, and Cthulhu are among my favorites.-Jovani

Q: What artists have influenced your band and its music?

A: Before our guitar player Jovani joined the band had a very metalcore/deathcore sound. bands like as blood runs black and the black dahila murder. Since Jovani joined it's become more a of fusion of the acacia strain, job for a cowboy, all shall perish vibe, with some chelsea grin and born of osiris thrown in for seasoning.

Q:  If a fan wants to get a tattoo with one sentence from your lyrics, which sentence should he take?

A: "the end is only the beginning." Black Atom

"The earth is breathing fumes of despair." Self Inflicted

"Do you fear me, You have not even begun to suffer" G.F.M.

Q: If you would tour the USA this year, which bands would you like to play with?

A: Acacia Strain, Slipknot, Born of Osiris, The Black Dahila Murder, Rings of Saturn, All Shall Perish, Chelsea Grin, Job for a cowboy, Machine Head

Q: What is the main source of inspiration when writting new music?

A:In terms of the sound we going for a lot heavier music as well as pushing the complexity of the riffs. Lyrical our new material have a more a general idea that runs through the songs i.e. concept album. We feel "All Hail Cthulhu" is just the beginning for where we plan to go. Pushing our limits has been our goal since 2011.

Q: What are your plans for this year exactly?

A: Play 50 shows. Do some touring throughout california and have the full length pre production started. Really make ourselves a band to look out for within the metal community
