Back to the review:
The band I'm talking about is the one and only GUTTURAL SECRETE from Las Vegas, Nevada that released their brand new, facemelting album "Nourishing The Spoil" in February 2013. Man, this band writes so mature music, it's one of the best releases in the brutal death metal scene this year in my opinion, you have to check it out!

Don't expect a slow, genetic slam brutal death album 'cause this album is full of energy, speed and power! No interludes, no breaks, your body will be destroyed by some massive tunes for 37 breathtaking minutes. The album has everything it takes to be a good brutal death release, samples, blast beats, musical chaos but also structure, fast tremolo picked riffs but also chugging ones, brutal and evil grunts and growls, sadistic sick lyrics, an awesome cover, and so on. Everything seems to be perfect on this release.

The guitars sound very good and heavy. Remarkable is the amount of pinch harmonics that the band uses in their songs. The pinch harmonics fit perfectly to the riffs and songs and they make the music even more chaotic than it already is. I really enjoy the song "Deadened Prior To Coitus" where the band managed to add an clean (guitar) intro and create an awesome, really evil sounding atmosphere. That's new for a brutal death album but it still fits perfectly to the whole album. The only thing that I miss are more really groovy slams, but that's because I'm a huge slam death fan I think, so the music still sounds diverse and interesting without them. (But they still have some, and they are really brutal! Listen to: "Coprophilic Asphyxia"!!)

The drums are good recorded and bring the music to the next level. The drumming is also diverse and dynamic and it has a really good mix, like the whole album; you can perfectly hear every single instrument and the vocals, nothing is to loud or to quiet).

The vocals... Well the vocals are nothing more than pure sickness. Low, evil and mad. Many say that brutal death vocals have no emotion or shit like that, but hey, here's an example that it isn't true; you can clearly hear the anger and hate in the vocals at some points. I really like the sound of Jeremiahs' voice, the beast and frontman of the band.

All in all, I must admit that I finally found a new band who simply devastated my brains after only 30 seconds of listening. This shit is insane, this shit is hot, brutal, bonecrushing, facemelting and so on! Pure awesomeness. My favorite track is the intro track "Inhaling Corpulency", check it out and grab a copy of the album! You won't regret it!

Maximize Bestiality - Excreting The Malformed Review

I really didn't knew what to review as next, so I downloaded some new brutal slam death metal albums from Realm-Of-Metal, and that is how I found this new, bonecrushing band: Maximize Bestiality from Germany.

This is really almost the maximum of brutality and bestiality. If you are a fan of chug, slams, blast beats and low pig squeals and grunts, this album will not dissappoint you in any way!

The album starts with a short sample, really fitting to the music in my opinion and after that; welcome in the land of butchery, death and slaughter. Your guide in this gore journey will be singer Alex and backing vocalist that also is the guitarist of the band, Robert. Their voices will crush every single bone you have and will throw your soul into eternat torment! The heavy guitars and low bass will continue molesting your body and the drums will lacerate and penetrate your brain 'till the album is over. At the end you will probably be so unbelivable fucked that you will cry for more! Because now seriously, this music is excelent and simply facemelting!

This EP has everything the heart of a brutal death metal fans needs! In the first track, the slowest from them all you can find some incredible sweet slams and some really nice riffs as well. The highlight of the album is the song "Inducing Craniocerebral Polytraumata". I really enjoy the samples at the beginning and at the end & the insane drumming and really devastating low tuned guitar. The vocals perfectly fit to the music, dark and agressive. The ep is not groundbreaking, it is generic brutal death but I really enjoy it and would recommend this release to all brutal death fans! Cheers and stay slam!

Vulvectomy - Post-Abortion Slut Fuck Review

Vulvectomy became my favorite brutal death band in 2012 as I first listened to their 2010 release "Post-Abortion Slut Fuck". A solid release with a cover that perfectly fits to the genre and the music; a cover full of blood, rape, pain, slaughter, mutilation and dead bodys. This album was also the reason why I started a brutal death project myself & that's why I'm writing this review.

The album starts with 4 hits on the china cymbal, then the other instruments come in and you can now listen to one of the most epic slams in the history of brutal death in my opinion. The full album is full of very groovy slams and riffs so that you can headbang to it all day. The songs are all very good structured and I really enjoy the fact that they use several time signatures in their songs, almost everything from 4/4 to 7/8.

The band used a drum machine for the drumming but it still sounds awesome and real. They used a lot of fast double bass parts in their songs and they also used many blast beats that sound very tight. The drumming is very diverse on this album and if you listen carefully to the album you can hear the played variations and some ghost notes that can be heared at some points. I really like the dry sound of the drum kit and the sound of the snare that is used in almost all fill ins and is used to turn a 4/4 beat in 7/8, listen to the music and you will understand what I mean.

The lyrics are about death, gore, mutilation, brutal mutilation, slaughter, infections and all kind of brutal or disguisting things. The vocals are growled in the same style all the time, a really low grunt, pig squeals at their best and they perfectly fit to the music Vulvectomy creates.

A thing that I really like about the album is that it doesen't let you breath one second, it is brutal and straight in your face from the beginning to the end and it uses many confusing samples that make the music even more interesting than it already is.

You will fall in love with these kings of slam that remind me of old Devourment. They are not playing something revolutionary, it's still generic brutal death but the album has something very special, for me it's one of the best slam death releases of this decade and Vulvectomy managed to create their own sound in my opinion.

The mix of the album is a little raw and I really enjoy that "not perfect quality". Every instrument melts together, and together with the devastating vocals if the singer your face will start melting after only one slam. Check this out, it's worth a try!
