Q: What was the reason for using the band name "Avarice"?

A: When the band started we had a political agend. The definition of Avarice is extreme greed of mankind. The name just kind of stuck with us.

Q: How many shows have you played, and which one has been your favorite thus far?

A: We have yet to play any shows. We have been focusing on writing/releasing the best possible music before we do so. 

Q: "Venom Splitter" is your first single and an awesome track. What made you decide to take "Venom Splitter" as the first single? What do you think that is special about the song? 

A: Venom Splitter was one of favorite songs. We felt it was the best representation of what Avarice is all about. Venom spitter has a lot of energy. It's very heavy both musically and lyrically. It doesn't give the listener anytime to catch their breath. 

Q: What lyrical theme do you use in your music? What message do you want to send?

A: The lyrics stem from real life experiences and relationships I've had with people over the years. I write the most memorable lines  I possibly can. I'd like for people to be able to relate and take something from the lyrics and the music the band write. Find a sense of positivity out of the negativity.

Q: When can fans expect a first EP/Album ? 

A: The release is still up in the air. We are shooting for a late summer release maybe.

Q: What artists have influenced your band and its' music?

A: We all listen to and come from  different styles of music but come together when it comes to metal. We definitely like whats currently going on in heavy music. 

Legend, emmure, issues, thy art is murder are a few of our  influences. 

Q: What is the main source of inspiration when writing new music?

A: We find inspiration in the things that anger us in life. You could say this band is our outlet. Writing music we want to hear is another reason for the band. Theres so much of the same thing out there, all we can hope is that we might be a breath of fresh air to some people. 

Q: What are your plans for this year exactly?

A: We plan on releasing this ep and playing/touring as much as possible! We'd like to reach as much people as we can with our music.

A: I would like to say big thanks to Hayden Tree! He has helped us out a lot. Check out his band called "Crown the Empire"!
