Q: What was the reason for using the band name "After Years Of Hope"?

A: Our two guitarists played in many bands before and it wasn`t  going really well. They decided to start a new Band again. They searched for a name which fits in the situation. „After Years of Hope“ fits perfectly so they decided to take it.


Q: How many shows have you played, and which one has been your favorite thus far?

A: We started playing shows in January this year. We played around 10 shows since January. My personal favorite was the show in Cologne together with Betrayal, Thick as Blood and Demoraliser.


Q: What lyrical theme do you guys use in your music? What message do you want to send?

A: It is a bit about our selfs and our life till now.
But there are also critical themes about the world and the whole situation on our planet.


Q: What song do you enjoy playing the most live?

A: It`s hard to say but i really like The End. I like the Breakdowns and the Melodic parts a lot.


Q: What artists have influenced your band and its music?

A: Adept, As I Lay Dying, old Sonic Syndicate


Q: If a fan wants to get a tattoo with one line from your lyrics, which line should he take?

A: This is easy to say: „We are the Dawn“.
It is on our Shirts, EP Name and one of the best Songs.
Or just simply our name, that would be really really cool!


Q: If you would tour the USA this year, which bands would you like to play with?

A: Definitaly Parkway Drive, I would give everything to play a show with this guys.


Q: What is the main source of inspiration when writting new music?

A: We have nothing like a really inspiration. If someone has a good idea, he writes it down and sents it to the other ones. Then we decide to play it or not. If we want to play it we work on it till we think it is perfect!


Q: What are your plans for this year exactly?

A: We will release our first EP „We are the Dawn“ this fall. Afterwards we will play a lot more shows in Germany. We have Gigs upcoming with Bands like Evergreen Terrace in Cologne, Madison Affair in Essen and many more will come.
